Founded in 1851, the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities (U of M) boasts an enrollment of more than 51,000 students and has one of the largest main campus student bodies in the nation. The flagship of the University of Minnesota system, U of M also is known as one of America's “Public Ivy” universities. The sea-grant, space-grant and land-grant research university offers a range of degree programs across 19 colleges and schools.
